The Wordpress Themeathon 2008
Believe it or not preparations are all ready beginning for next years blogathon, which will come with some crucial changes to shift patterns. So, as yet, I do not know what time I will be starting the blogathon, only the date : 26th July 2008.
What is a themeathon?
I had been participating in the blogathon for a number of years when I had an amazing and slightly mad idea. I wanted to do something no one else was doing, and that something was to attempt to design blog templates live during the blogathon.
My first attempt, in 2005, was a learning curve. I only managed 19 fairly basic templates, which were considered so bad I no longer display them to the general public. In 2006 I faired slightly better, I designed 24 uncoded blog templates in 24 hours. But in 2007 I took one step up, and attempted to design 24 fully functional wordpress themes lives. I succeeded. The Themeathon was born.
In 2008 I will return again, circumstances permitting, to design 24 wordpress themes live during the blogathon. Once again, this will be to raise money for my chosen charity Gingerbread | One Parent Families.
